Polynesian Xplorer is the creation of a husband and wife team, François and Zita-Sefo Martel whose cultural and professionally diverse backgrounds offer clients both a rich, unique perspective and highly complementary skills.
Francois, a Canadian forester and accomplished conservationist from Quebec, and Zita a Samoan national and English major, fortuitously met at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand some 27 years ago. After living and working in Italy and the Caribbean, their shared love for the country and people of Polynesia prompted them to set up home in Samoa and, through the creation of Polynesian Xplorer, to provide an opportunity for visitors to gain an authentic experience of this special place.
